MARKET FLOOR LEAD
We are now accepting applications for a Market Floor Lead to begin April 21st, 2026. This is a part-time seasonal position, 20 - 30 hours per week, with an average of 24 hours per week, Tuesday-Thursday, with some early start times. Maine Flower Collective is seeking a self-starter who is organized, passionate, and flexible to lead our in-person floral market through our fourth year of operations and beyond. This will include providing customer service to our buyers and growers, coordinating logistics of product to be sold on the market floor + being added to pick-up/delivery orders, providing retail display organization, conducting sales during in-person market hours, and marketing product to be sold. Anticipated breakdown of responsibilities per week is listed as a percentage of each category, with flexibility as needed throughout our growing season.
Schedule: Seasonal (April-October), 24 hours per week, Tuesday - Thursday
Compensation: $19.50/hour, with paid time off accumulated at 1hr per 40hrs worked

Job Description:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications regarding the in-person wholesale market each week of the defined season : May through October, with potential pop-ups into November-December (25% of time). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build relationships and maintain communication with growers and buyers to ensure accuracy of weekly market floor products & availability (focused on floral varieties, quantities and pricing).
Provide customer service by welcoming buyers to the MFC hub for market floor shopping and pre-order pick-ups, participating in information sessions, and being available by phone and email for correspondence and questions during business hours.
Communicate MFC expectations related to in-person market processes and procedures for buyers and growers.
Lead the creation & organization of the MFC’s in-person market & floor displays (25% of time). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot and problem solve as operations challenges, product or sales issues arise, including covering occasional driving shifts when necessary.
Work alongside Operations Manager & Delivery Drivers to ensure that all orders are received, sorted and fulfilled as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Coordinate all equipment and supply needs for the in-person market.
Set up and organize the Hub for in-person market days.
Maintain, clean, and order supplies for product fulfillment & market floor sales processes.
Ensure all flower products meet MFC’s quality standards.
Assist with flower intake and fulfillment for buyers’ orders & market product.
Create and maintain floral market displays, including organization and labeling of product.
Weekly bucket washing.
Serve as the lead administrator for the MFC’s in-person market sales & POS system (25% of time). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inputting & updating data in POS system (floral varieties, pricing, growers, buyers, payment information, etc.).
Conduct market floor sales.
Report to Operations Manager (20% of time). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Generate sales reports to be used for weekly grower payouts, year-end analysis and Board updates.
Coordinate and execute logistics of product to be sold at the in-person market, and pop-up market locations.
Address quality concerns and triage solutions for orders as needed.
Share MFC process improvement opportunities or challenges.
Contribute marketing and communications efforts for the Collective to promote the In-Person Market (5% of time). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Update MFC’s Instagram/Facebook accounts and the MFC website to promote the In-Person Market & product availability.
Help spread the word about the Collective to new stakeholders and the public.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who have a record of exemplary customer service and sales experience, with a focus in retail displays, and have a strong interest in optimizing the operations systems of Maine Flower Collective’s In-Person Market and overall operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communications skills, and proficiency in Square POS. We are looking for a candidate who can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational skills, attention to detail, project ownership, and stamina. Flower industry experience is strongly preferred.
Applicants must be self-motivated, eager to learn, open to feedback, and able to work both collaboratively and independently. Physical and administrative projects need to be executed while maintaining a positive attitude, flexibility and a keen work ethic. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 40lbs (e.g., setting up tables, lifting water-filled buckets), stand for hours at a time, and have a valid driver’s license in order to drive a delivery van for delivery/pick up routes when necessary.
Work Environment and Schedule:
You will report directly to the Maine Flower Collective’s Operations Manager and work closely with Delivery Drivers to coordinate logistics for the In-Person Market and general operations of the Collective. Much of the Market Floor Lead’s administrative work will be done independently—in consultation with the MFC Operations Manager, Board, or in communication with MFC constituents.
This seasonal, part-time position is designed as an average of 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with some early start times (7am) required. Administrative work can be done remotely on Mondays, and the Market Floor Lead is required to report to the MFC Hub on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during growing season to manage market floor prep and in-person market sales on site. We anticipate seasonal shifts in this position - both in the number of hours per week (24-30 hours during the height of growing season, less in the shoulder seasons) and the percentage of time spent on the responsibilities outlined above.

DELIVERY DRIVER
SEASONAL, 16-20 HOURS PER WEEK
Delivery Drivers report to the MFC Operations Manager to pick-up, aggregate and distribute Maine-grown flowers ordered by local florists and floral designers through the Maine Flower Collective. This position is based out of the MFC Hub located in Brunswick, ME 2-3 days per week, with driving shifts taking place across the state on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the potential for Thursday shifts as well. Essential duties and responsibilities are outlined below.
Compensation: Starting at $19/hour
Anticipated start and end date: March 24th start with work through November/December 2026
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist in preparations for weekly flower pick-ups and deliveries
Review weekly pre-order and delivery routes prepared by Operations Manager
Sort and fulfill flower orders according to MFC quality standards
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance and a high level of customer service
Clean delivery vehicle and work areas of flower debris after each use
Assist in bucket washing on a weekly basis
Flower pick-up and delivery responsibilities:
Drive MFC vehicle to both receive orders from growers and deliver orders to buyers
Maintain awareness of quality standards throughout pick-up and delivery process
Careful loading & unloading of flower orders during pick-up and delivery routes
Troubleshooting in the event of unexpected challenges
Amenable to a flexible schedule

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
This position is designed as 2-3 days per week, totaling 16 - 20 hours. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required shifts and will be spent driving state-wide pick-up and delivery routes; there will be the potential for delivery shifts on Thursdays as well. In addition to solo time on the road, delivery drivers will be expected to help with the loading/unloading, receiving, sorting and organizing of flower orders together with MFC Operations Manager and others.

AGGREgation assistant
SEASONAL, 10 HOURS PER WEEK
The Aggregation Assistant will report to the MFC Operations Manager to receive and sort floral product ordered by local florists and floral designers through the Maine Flower Collective. This position is based out of the MFC Hub - 1 day per week (Tuesdays). Essential duties and responsibilities are outlined below.

Washing and filling buckets with fresh water
Setting up buyer order stations
Sort product into designated pre-order and market floor buckets
Check items off of orders as they are being sorted
